In memoriam giving online - Cancer Research UK
A number of charities offer the recently bereaved the opportunity to create a webpage which will act as a tribute to their loved one and a focus for giving in memoriam.
Cancer Research UK allows visitors to its site to create a webpage providing an insight into the life of the individual and perhaps including a photograph.
E-mails can then be sent to friends and relatives asking for those that wish to offer a donation in memoriam. Cancer Research UK allows users to choose whether they would like to have a list of donors added to the page and/or for the total donated to be displayed.
Messages of condolence can also be left and may be read by visitors to the page and the duration the page is maintained can be extended if desired.
